The Bible teaches there are five steps to the Plan of Salvation as taught in the New Testament. One must: Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess and be Baptized for the remission of sin to become a Child of God.  Here is scriptural proof on this important matter.

All scripture references are from the King James translation

Hear: Act 2:22, 37; Roman 10:14,17

Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Acts 2:37 Now when they
heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not
heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Believe: Act 16:31

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Repent: Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Acts 17:30

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Confess: Matt: 10:32-33, Roman 10:9-10

Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.

Be Baptized: Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12, 36-39, Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21-22

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he
baptized him.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be
baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
1 Pet 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is,
eight souls were saved by water.
1 Pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even
baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of
Jesus Christ:
